This is the privacy policy detailing what we do with our conversations. If anything here is unclear, ask us before you sign up.

We collect only what you give us. Your name and contact details are stored apart from your answers. We sell findings across the panel, never your information. We never quote you, name you, put you in someone else’s research or share your answers with an organization without asking first. Conversations are recorded, audio only. Email us any time to see, update or delete what we hold. When you leave, your name and contact details are deleted within 30 days.

What you give us, plus the basic technical data every website sees (more on that below). There are no advertising pixels, and nothing here follows you to other sites.
No advertising cookies or pixels. Since we don’t sell or share your data for advertising, “do not track” and Global Privacy Control signals have nothing to switch off.
The conversation page is run by Corvus, which records your IP address and device details and uses cookies, including analytics. See its respondent privacy policy.
Your contact details and your answers are in separate tables, linked only by a random participant ID (like P-3CF83A95), shown to you when you sign up. That separation is built into the database, not a rule we follow by hand. Only our own server can reach the database.
To be clear: while you’re a member, your answers are separated from your name, not anonymous. We hold the link so we can find your record when you ask. It’s broken when you leave.
Race, ethnicity, income, caregiving and health count as sensitive under US state privacy laws. We only have them because you chose to share them, and you can decline all of them and still be a full member.
We use your background answers to check the panel reflects a broad range of women, and to compare groups in findings (for example, how women at different incomes describe the same change), only for groups too large for anyone to be picked out. Nothing else.
Health has its own consent box at sign up. It lets us use what you choose to tell us about your health; it doesn’t oblige you to tell us anything. We’re not a healthcare provider, and laws for doctors and insurers, like HIPAA, don’t apply, so this page sets the rules.
Anything new, we’ll update this page and tell you first.
Findings describe patterns, never one woman. We check nothing in them could point to you and don’t report on very small groups. Examples are described, not quoted, unless you’ve said yes to being quoted.
After your first conversation we email you a private link to give us your Venmo or PayPal. You can change it there or on your Money page. It’s kept with your contact details, not your answers. Venmo payments are marked private and never mention what we talked about.
We don’t ask for your Social Security number. Tax rules only require it once payments pass $600a year, and the founding circle pays well under that. If that changes, we’ll explain before asking.
The panel is open to women living in the US. Your data is stored mainly in the US, though some of the companies below may process it elsewhere.
A few companies help us run Perrie. They can only use your data to provide their service to us, never for their own purposes.
If we add or change a company, we’ll update this list.
Conversations are guided by AI, so you can take part whenever suits you. You’ll always know when you’re talking to AI, and you can ask for a person any time.
AI transcribes and analyzes what you say: tone, themes and patterns across the panel. It never makes decisions about you. People decide who is invited, what you’re paid and whether you stay.
What we sell: findings, meaning patterns across the panel. Never your name, contact details, or anything that identifies you.
Only with your yes, every time: quoting your words, putting your name on anything public, enrolling you in sponsored research, or sharing your answers or transcripts with a specific organization. We’ll tell you who it is and what they’d get. Saying no never affects your membership or pay.
Never: we don’t sell or share your data with advertisers or data brokers.
We only hand over data if the law requires it, like a court order. We give the minimum and tell you, unless we’re legally barred. We have never received one.
If Perrie is sold or merges with another company, your data moves to the new owner only if they agree to follow this policy. We’ll email you before it happens, and you can leave first and have your data deleted. If Perrie shuts down with no new owner, we delete your name and contact details.
These apply wherever you live in the US. You can:
Email privacy@perrieresearch.com with your participant ID or name. We reply within 45 days, usually much sooner, and tell you if we need longer. We’ll check it’s you first, usually by asking you to reply from your sign-up email. Someone else can ask for you with your permission.
If we say no, we’ll explain why, and you can appeal by replying. A different person will decide within 45 days. If it’s still no, we’ll tell you how to contact your state Attorney General. Using your rights never affects your membership or pay.
Anything identifying you said in your own words, like a name or workplace, is still covered by our promise never to publish anything that could point to you.
Only a few people on our team can access the database. If a breach affects you, we’ll tell you what happened and what we’re doing about it.
By email, about your membership: conversation links, what you’ve agreed to, early findings and changes to this page. Occasionally Perrie news, like a new kind of conversation or a way to invite a friend, which you can stop any time. Never marketing for other companies.
We only use your phone number about your membership, and only text you if you said yes. Reply STOP to stop.
Perrie is for women 18 and over. If we learn we have data from someone younger, we delete it.
We’ll update the date at the top. If a change affects what you agreed to, we’ll tell you directly and ask again where it matters. We record which version you agreed to.
